The Impact Team stole user data from website Ashley Madison, a website which enabled extramarital affairs. The Impact Team threatened to expose information about users if Ashley Madison did not shut down. Users of the website faced fear of public shame. More than 25 gigabytes of company information was leaked before the problem was resolved, including details about the users.
